I purshased the Kreg R3 Jr. after using a no-name brand from a big box store for over a year. I would have been well ahead to have purchased the Kreg at that time instead of just recently. It is fully adjustable for inside and outside fixturing and can be set to accomodate different material thicknesses. The other jig I was using before was non-adjustable and that created less-than-ideal results for me when working with materials greater than 1/2" thick. If you are considering getting into pocket hole joinery, my suggestion would be to go with Kreg.

This R3 Jr pocket hole jig system does the job. Small enough to use lots of places yet does a great job. I wish they included more screws with the kit.

While making some chairs, the directions called for "pocket holes". I had never made this type of joint before and my initial reaction was this was a lot of money to spend just to do this. But boy was I wrong. It is VERY easy to learn how to use and the end result is just as advertised. I can't wait to try it out on future projects.

I've heard about this system for years and finally bought it. Money well spent! All you need is a good square cut and the jig makes the rest almost fool-proof. I also bought the assortment of screws and a no-name welder's type clamp. I would highly reccommend this kit.
