I just bought a K2 jig and both the KHC RAC right angle clamp and the KHC premium face clamp. I built a cabinet today using all three Kreg products. I am very impressed. Construction was very fast and accurate.



The RAC made it very easy to attach a solid wood edging to the plywood top and attaching the sides to the top. In fact a couple times I thought it would be nice to have 2.



The KHC made the face frame assembly quick and easy. The joints separated slightly while driving the screw but pulled together well and stayed flush.



It has been a long time since I have been this pleased with a tool. The Kreg system is going to change how I assemble projects.

Does just what I expected it to do and is very easy to use. The only complaint and the reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the of the way the handles work. There is one large face and one smaller face on the clamp. The large face goes on the jig (or wood in the final step of operation), the smaller face goes underneath the piece being drilled (or screwed together). This places the pivoting handle of the clamp on top. Not a major deal, but I think it would be easier to use and feel more natural if the pivoting or locking handle were facing down. After all of this; however, I would still buy it again.

After researching internet for pocket screws, I found Amazon was the cheap by quantity. If you planning to build alot of wood projects then purchase in bulk to save you money and time in long run. I have YET to break a KREG screw off doing something. They just work. What more can a person want in woodworking? I wouldn't use anyone else's screw for pocket hole joinery.



Best to buy in bulk if you find yourself using one particular size. The more you buy of them the more you save. It's a nice way to join wood and hide the joinery as well.

This clamp is a must if you have a number of large pieces to attach with pocket holes. It holds the pieces in place especially if you are pocket holing right angle pieces and allows you to get one screw in place. I have used it on attaching a headboard to a murphy bed that I built and it made the procees as simple as pie.



This is a great addition to the kreg pocket hole jig and face clamp. I would say if you buy the jig don't wait just order this clamp at the same time.

It's counterintuitive, but the long bit is actually the easiest to use and most stable when driving pocket screws. The Kreg bits are very well made, hardened, and don't wear as fast as ordinary square drive bits. That's particularly important when doing pocket hole construction - there's nothing more frustrating than a stripped bit or screw head halfway in a pocket hole. In fact, I keep my Kreg bits separate and only use them for pocket holes. I use my regular bit set square drive bits for other square drive uses and toss them as they wear.

This is really well made. I resisted for a while because of the cost and the "do I really need another tool?" factor, but it is well worth the money. The jig is very well constructed. Better than I expected looking at the pictures. It is also good for some outdoors projects where you have to fasten 2x4s together (I use regular screws instead of the special kreg ones for that kind of stuff and they do work fine).

The Kreg jig is the only product I've ever purchased after watching an informerical and I am quite satisfied with it. After many years of trying to get solid/square joints with my limited home workshop tools, I was impressed with the results of the Kreg jig on a workbench I built for my son. The rail and leg joints were square, solid (no glue) and only took about an hour to drill and assemble. The instruction DVD included with the set was very helpful in explaining the basic set-up and uses of the jig. I think it will be one of the best tools in my workshop. My only concern was the necessity of buying the special Kreg screws. I found a local source for the Kreg screws however which means I don't have to order them online and the price is comparable to other wood fasteners.

I had a job to do that required me to assemble the work on site. I was able to precut all parts and predrill the pocket holes in the shop. The parts were then transported to the site and assembled. Glue was applied to the pieces and assembled and ready to finish in a short time. I do not know how long and how many clamps would have been required if I had used biscuits, dowels or any other type of assembly. This is probably one of the best specialty tools I have ever bought.

I purshased the Kreg R3 Jr. after using a no-name brand from a big box store for over a year. I would have been well ahead to have purchased the Kreg at that time instead of just recently. It is fully adjustable for inside and outside fixturing and can be set to accomodate different material thicknesses. The other jig I was using before was non-adjustable and that created less-than-ideal results for me when working with materials greater than 1/2" thick. If you are considering getting into pocket hole joinery, my suggestion would be to go with Kreg.

While making some chairs, the directions called for "pocket holes". I had never made this type of joint before and my initial reaction was this was a lot of money to spend just to do this. I've heard about this system for years and finally bought it. Money well spent! All you need is a good square cut and the jig makes the rest almost fool-proof. I also bought the assortment of screws and a no-name welder's type clamp. I would highly reccommend this kit.
